Our 15th birthday may have been and gone but the wheels are very much still in motion when it comes to the charities we chose to support as part of the celebrations, and this year we thought it would be apt to pick 15!
Here at Spindogs, we have strong roots in wanting to leave the world a better place than when we found it, so any chance to give back, (especially if it involves eating cake…) we will!
Our aim is to raise as many donations as we possibly can to go into one big pot, which will then be divvied up amongst our chosen 15.

“We work for people in housing need by providing free, independent, expert housing advice and we campaign to overcome the barriers which stand in the way of people in Wales having a decent, secure home.”
KIDNEY WALES
“The Kidney Wales Foundation’s strategic aim is to support patients and families and to promote excellence in renal research.”
OXFORD WINTER NIGHT SHELTER
“Providing sanctuary to the rough sleepers of Oxford”
CYPRUS PRIDE HOUSE
“We are a small, family-run and not-for-profit animal rescue based in the Troodos Mountains near Limassol, Cyprus.”
MND ASSOCIATION
“We improve care and support for people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their families and carers.”

“We have been helping to provide loving families for vulnerable children for over 25 years. We understand how important it is to support, train and develop our foster carers to provide the best possible care for our children and young people.”
THE DPJ FOUNDATION
“The foundation aims to support people in rural communities with poor mental health, especially men in the agricultural sector. Agriculture carries one of the highest rates of suicide and with mental health being such a big problem across society the foundation aims to break down the stigma that surrounds mental health and provide support services for those in rural communities.”
ALOPECIA UK
“Working to improve the lives of those affected by Alopecia”
EPILEPSY RESEARCH
“Epilepsy Research UK supports and promotes basic and clinical scientific research into the causes, treatments and prevention of epilepsy.”
WOMEN’S AID
“We are a grassroots federation working together to provide life-saving services and build a future where domestic violence is not tolerated.”
LITTLE PRINCESS TRUST
“The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.”
FRIENDS OF BARRY BEACHES
“FOBB is a community organisation run by volunteers in Barry, South Wales. We run monthly beach cleans across one of five fantastic beaches in Barry.”
How will we be raising the funds?
CARDIFF 10 & 2K
We’re taking on the Cardiff 10 & 2k on the first of September, we loved that there was an option for our newer runners to get involved too!
BARRY BEACH CLEAN
We care about our planet and we’re more than aware of the devastating impact single-use plastic is having on the ecosystem. With this in mind, we’re teaming up with Friends of Barry Beaches to clear some litter and recycle what we can!
SPINDOGS BAKE OFF
Did we mention that we love cake…? Each week, we’ll be setting a theme and three talented in-house bakers will be going head to head in a Spindogs style bake-off. The goods will then be subjected to a panel who will make a contribution to sample the delights and vote for their favourite!

Let’s be honest, you’ve probably got an abundance of 2 & 5p’s rolling around at the bottom of your wallet which you’re almost definitely never going to use. We’ve made loose change pots to go on every floor so if you’re paying a visit to the HQ any time soon, why not ditch that extra shrapnel and donate while you’re at it!
