January is FINALLY over and it’s a good job we were all well rested over the Christmas break because things have felt a bit mad at the HQ (in a good way!). We’re edging closer to spring and we’re back in the swing of things in spite of the grey skies! So, welcome to the January Roundup.

Events
It’s been a busy couple of months for events, some old, some new, some small, some big. Here are a few of the highlights!
Overtime
It obviously wouldn’t be right to pick a favourite, but if someone had a gun to our heads… we might say it was Overtime…
Born from Marketing Manager Emily’s mad marketing scientist brain and branded by Senior Designer, Rhys, in only a couple of months, Overtime was a concept that became a branded event with 40 tickets being snapped up in less than 24 hours.
Our very own Dan Lewis opened the show on a talk about data and creativity, followed by RSPCA Cymru’s Campaigns Manager, Shelley Phillips, on campaigns that give animals a voice.

December wreath making
December saw us host a Christmas wreath making class for clients at the HQ which was enjoyed by all. Expert florists ForbesField came in and turned MR3 into a pine-fresh winter wonderland and we even had a fake fire on the TV!
CHC Comms Conference
Emily and Claire headed to the Community Housing Cymru communications conference last week to represent Spindogs and increase our presence within the Housing Association Sector. Emily gave a talk on how to ensure digital is at the core and gave out our brand new Housing specific white paper!
IGTV
There’s been a couple of new IGTV vids over on our Instagram account since the last roundup, so why not hop over and take a look!
December’s vid featured Digital Marketer, Emily talking us through her top tips on getting your social media campaigns ready for the new year (is it too early to start thinking about 2021?!) and Abigail, our Content and UX Strategist, took us through creating content that delivers for your website, click the images below to view the full videos.
Another office photoshoot
You might remember we posted about having an office photoshoot to introduce all the newbies with Magenta Photography back in November. Well, the new and updated photos of all the staff made everyone look so good that we couldn’t resist booking in another shoot with the talented bunch to update some of our senior members of staff photos too!

Sector-specific white papers
If you’re good at something, why not specialise?! While we welcome all projects, big and small, from any background or sector, there are a few specific areas that we’ve learned a lot about over the years. With this in mind, we’re launching some sector-specific white papers to show that we understand each sectors aches and pains when it comes to embracing digital.
We’ve kicked things off with Housing Associations, just in time for Emily’s talk at CHCymru… it’s like it was planned?!
