If you have a marketing retainer with us at Spindogs or if you take up a marketing project with us then you’ll likely work with an AM (Account Manager). I’m here to talk you through my role and what you can expect from an Online Account Manager here at Spindogs.
The role can be broken down into three main areas quite simply:
Team member
Your AM (Account Manager) should be an extension of your internal team, we work closely with you to determine the goals of your website or marketing activity. We’ll also help with strategy and advise on the best way to achieve these goals. We’re here to assist you with defining your requirements and we’ll get stuck in when it comes to fleshing out a brief!
Representation
We’re the bridge between the agency and the client. It’s not uncommon to have a few people involved in a project so it’s important that you have one consistent contact who’s up to date on everything and can translate the internal agency comms in a nice neat package for you!
We’re here to be your spokesperson in the office, we’ll feed back your goals and queries and provide you with the answers and advice you need in a concise and helpful way.
We’re also here to keep things on track for you, a huge part of our role is ensuring that the work meets deadlines and exceeds your expectations.
Challenge
This may be a surprise but we’re also here to gently challenge you where necessary, we want to make sure you’re getting the absolute most out of your experience with us and sometimes that entails challenging existing ideas to ensure we get solutions that drive results.
We’ll often suggest new technology or marketing tactics you may not have considered or know about. After all, digital is our business day in, day out!
We’ll also always be on the look out for new opportunities for you. If we can see something that’s worth doing, we’ll be sure to tell you about it.
