Grwp Cardiff

Last week saw the launch of exciting new business network Grŵp, held at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Originally formed as Women in Management in 2008, Tuesday saw the re-launch of the network under its new name Grŵp. Our colleague Claire has been involved with the network since it originally began back in 2008, so we were delighted to attend the event and understand more about what the GRWP network does.

Julie spoke with confidence and charisma, allowing the audience to really warm to her. It was clear that Julie’s lovely personality has had a big impact on her success. Julie spoke openly about how she climbed the ladder to her current position, and the challenges she faced along the way. Giving great insight into the difficulties of being a woman in management when working in a male orientated industry, and the strengths she has gained from this. Julie also stressed the importance of having a strong team behind you as well as how crucial good communication is for business.

After the interview, Julie visited each table for a facilitated discussion which gave a great personal interaction and this seemed to be really valued by all guests. Attending this event gave us a great insight into the Grŵp network, allowing us to make new connections and chat with some of our existing clients. All of this, together with the stunning venue and delicious canapés, mean we will definitely be attending more Grŵp events in the future! Take a look at the brilliant new Grŵp website here.

How can we help?
