Having established Spindogs in 2004, the day after he finished a product design degree at UWIC, 29 year old Giles has since grown the business alongside Directors Elwyn Davies and David Morgan to become one of Wales’ leading website and digital marketing agencies.
Spindogs now employs a team of 13 and is expected to turnover £600,000 in the current financial year ending September 2011. Led by Giles, the team has successfully now won a series of prestigious UK wide tenders and has recently been appointed to deliver projects for Sony, Plaid Cymru, Only Men Aloud, UWC Atlantic College and Arriva Trains.
The appointment of Giles as Managing Director comes as the business focuses on the next stage of development with plans to increase turnover beyond £2 million by 2013. Giles comments: “Despite the economic climate, we have enjoyed strong growth over the last year and are confident that 2011 is proving to be another successful year as we continue to invest in our people and our services to ensure that we remain in the top spot in Wales.”
“Increasingly, our clients are looking for a much more integrated service with their website forming the nucleus of further marketing activity to drive new business activity. That’s why we have structured the business to offer all elements of the digital marketing mix to include website design and development, copywriting, SEO, email tools and direct marketing. PR and events management have to be the next service areas that we look to align alongside the core offering.”
“We’ve got a fantastic client portfolio that we are very proud of and we have much to offer clients who appreciate the need to lead their marketing activity from a digital perspective. To have done this well during such difficult economic times gives me great confidence for the future as I take on responsibility for driving our future growth,” ends Giles.
