To begin with we worked with the client to agree a colour scheme for their website. The project had a logo but no real brand or identity, we designed two colour ways and ended up mixing them together to create the final colour scheme. It was important for us to start with this because the project didn’t have a visual identity. Now the project had a colour scheme, we could begin the design and build of the website and the CEIC team had a template they can reuse on future assets and documents.
The final outcome was a WordPress website that was bilingual, English/Welsh and AA accessible. We designed clear links to Events, News and Case Studies so we could educate target audiences about the CEIC programme and engage them to participate.
We also ensured the website could house all of the information on the project as it was previously scattered across various University websites. By amalgamating the information onto one website it meant it was easier for CEIC to keep up to date and they could target their audiences better as all of their key information was now housed in one site.
