THE SOLUTION
Our Senior Designer, Rhys, worked on a re-brand and new website design that would set them apart from competitors with a colour palette of simple and professional blues and whites. This was then handed over to our front and back end development teams to bring to life.
We reorganised their site map to reduce the number of top menu items and give focus to the services and team. We also added a ‘Services’ keyword search to the home page banner, allowing potential customers to quickly find what they came to the site looking for, thus improving the user journey.
We consolidated the number of Services pages and then designed them as landing pages, they could all contain the following:
- General information about the service
- The team who would work on that service (with links to their profiles)
- Any related News/Blog content
To highlight Watkins & Gunn excellent customer service, we added client testimonials to their home page. These are displayed in simple, square text boxes which users can click through to read. They also link through to photos of the team members that each testimonial is about, reinforcing that there are real, approachable professionals behind the website. This notion was also backed up by the implementation of a live chat function so users would be able to start a conversation with the firm in real-time.
