The Brief
Depot needed a website that would showcase what they can offer and, ultimately, sell more tickets to the Bingo Lingo events.
Bingo Lingo isn’t just in Cardiff anymore, so there was a need to highlight and separate the different locations more easily on the website.
They wanted to be able to show all events that were on but to also allow filtering when people were searching for something specific to their area.
With the number one goal being to promote and sell tickets to the Bingo Lingo events, the booking process needed to be clearer with a smoother end-to-end user experience. The team had previously been receiving too many phone calls from customers who couldn’t find their information/booking buttons so the layout and user journey really needed to be addressed.
Bingo Lingo is a hugely visual and atmospheric event, so we needed to leverage their photography as much as possible to ensure this feeling translated online.

The Solution
The first thing we noticed when looking at the old site was that it didn’t reflect their brand at all which is full of life and fun. We approached this with an up-to-date colour scheme and clear, well-optimised photography that would emphasise what Bingo Lingo is all about. We worked hard to communicate the Bingo Lingo brand by creating a bespoke design which utilised the Bingo Lingo brand font and digital assets.
We also embedded video into header banners to really capture the Bingo Lingo experience. It was important that a customer would be able to get a real feel for the event the moment they landed on the site.
Overall, we made a loud but also clean website to appeal to the demographic.
We opted for a WordPress website that revolved primarily around a clean and well-designed Events area; https://www.bingolingo.club/events/. Once on this page, there’s filtering that allows you to find a location near you and once viewing an Event page itself. We also added a clear ‘Book Now’ button to minimise the number of calls they were receiving.
