We are now a Vendr Prestige Partner
We’re very excited to announce that we are now a Vendr Prestige Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity and we are thrilled to have been able to contribute to the Vendr project. Find out more about Vendr, how we got involved and what that means for Spindogs and our clients below.
What is Vendr?
Vendr is an eCommerce solution made for Umbraco 8+, it has been created by Outfield Digital, the owners of Tea Commerce. Outfield Digital is an Umbraco development house run by husband and wife team, Matt and Lucy Brailsford.
Matt, the brains behind Vendr, took the basis of Tea Commerce, built for Umbraco 7, and rebuilt and re-engineered it from the ground up to bring this new eCommerce solution up to date. The back office has been upgraded which means Vendr is fully inline with the Umbraco back office so developers, content editors and store owners can all enjoy a more consistent experience.
How did we become a Vendr Prestige Partner?
We thrive on producing high quality eCommerce solutions, therefore decided to become a Vendr Prestige Partner because it adheres to our commitment to do just that.
At Spindogs we have used Vendr on a variety of projects and it’s a delight to use. We had the pleasure of creating custom payment providers for Vendr, one of which has been contributed back to Vendr and is now part of a core offering. We worked closely with Matt and Lucy during the process of creating the payment provider, which was a great experience for us and it meant we learnt how to do things the best possible way.
Ultimately as Prestige Partners we are able to help support the growth of Vendr and it allows us to show our clients that we can create best of breed solutions with software that can be customised to fit their needs. It proves we can go above and beyond out-of-the-box offerings.
What does this mean for Spindogs and our clients?
We knew that we had to choose an eCommerce solution that would integrate well with Umbraco and Vendr was our preferred solution. We believe Vendr offers the cleanest, most extensible and friendliest integration options when it comes to eCommerce. It fits perfectly into the Umbraco ethos of keeping things simple which is great for the end user as it’s simple and easy to use which is a huge plus for content editors.
Due to the extensible nature it allows us to customise the behaviour to work with alternative user journeys and integrate with a wide range of different systems, both from a web user perspective and from a business perspective. This is great for our clients as it means we have the ability to adapt and customise the software to sit with their systems.
