Dan’s role in our design team is to design websites and marketing materials for clients, covering both digital and print.
Straight out of Uni Dan began his career in Cardiff Students Union as a Junior, learning the ropes on how to better his skillset and working as a team player. He then moved on to work in a small brand agency working on brand identity, web design, animation, print design and photography. It was a great way of diving head first into client projects and where he could take the client from start to finish on any project whether it was large or small.
Dan spent most of his career as an all-round designer in furniture and interior design company, Orangebox. Starting as a mid-level designer, after 2 years he became lead designer where he worked predominantly on print design and digital design. In this role Dan worked on brand identity for product launches, interaction design for specific products, created and maintained the company price list, animation for product launches and got involved with the company social platforms on event launch days. This experience turned him into a very pro-active designer.
Dan’s career highlights would be working on new product releases in Orangebox to then see it be released in Clerkenwell Design week in London. As a team they worked tirelessly on product collateral and to witness launch days was so worthwhile with the incredible feedback you’d get.
Dan would describe himself as honest, kind and persistent. Over the last few years, he has taught himself After Effects and he’s excited to bring a 2D animation angle into Spindogs.
